Established in 2006, Kian N' Rylee's is owned and operated by husband and wife team Sean and Tara Whelahan. The restaurant is named after their two children. Tara and Sean met in 1991 while working at a corporate restaurant in Taunton, Massachusetts. Since then Tara has managed 2 other corporate restaurants and started a personal cheffing business in 2004. She was the Chef to Exxon Mobil, Professional Golfer Fred Couples at the 2004 Masters and local Political leaders. Kian N' Rylee's chili is Tara's award winning recipe from the Savannah Chili Festival of 2004. In addition to running Kian N' Rylee's she is currently studying and attending classes to become a registered dietician. Sean's restaurant experience includes corporate management and franchise ownership. His experience as a Tour Director for 5 years brings a deep knowledge of tourism and customer service. The Kian N' Rylee's concept is based on a mixture of bars, restaurants and taverns from around the U.S., Canada, Ireland and New Zealand
